Photo Album: Energy Efficient Windows and Door

Here we have removed the old wood windows and the galvanized storm windows that were leaking outside air into this house. We also removed the old galvanized sliding glass for that took two hands to pull open. And replaced it with a new energy efficient vinyl sliding glass door that only requires one finger to open and close.

Old window

This is the one of the old wood sash windows with the galvanized storm window that was addded 30 or so years ago.

Ready for a new window.

Here we have removed the old window and storm window.

New window

The newly installed energy efficient vinyl window has been installed and the new metal installed over the brick mold for a lasting beautiful look.

Old windows

The old wood windows and galvanized storm windows. The old windows allow a lot of radiant energy to pass into this old home.

New windows

The newly installed energy efficient double hung windows are now installed. This homeowner will definitely feel the difference.

Old door

This is the old galvanized sliding glass door. It took two hands to open it. Not to mention all the oil on the track that makes a mess.

Here we have removed the old door and we are installing a new rot free material on the two sides and bottoms to help secure the new door and keep it from ever rotting

Rott free

Here is a close up of the new rot free bottom plate and the aluminum flashing on the side to guarantee we won't have any issues with water leaking into this home.

New Energy Efficient Door

Here is the newly installed energy efficient sliding glass door that only takes one finger to open or close.
