Here we are removing the old three tab shingles and Underlayment

Here we have installed Ice and Water Shield in the valleies and Blue Synthetic Underlayment to get ready for the new CertainTeed roof system.
The Tear off
Tearing off the old three tab shingle and getting down to the OSB plywood to make sure there wasn't any rotten wood.
Old three tab shingle is gone
Now the old roof system is gone we can check for any rotten wood not seen during the initial inspection.
Ice and Water Shield
Here we are adding a rubberized self adheairing membrain to the valley, to help ensure no leaks for the next 30 years.
Installing Ice and Water Shield
Ice and Water shield has been added to the backside of the chimney. Also, notice where we cut out some rotten OSB where the ladder is proped up against the wall. We will replace it with a new piece of plywood.

The tear off is complete, OSB inspection complete. Ready for the new Synthetic Underlayment.

Here we have inspected the OSB and installed a Sythetic Underlayment before the new CertainTeed Landmark shingles are installed.
